Executive Director & Founder
Samantha founded Walking for Gold with a vision to turn passion for fashion into something more meaningful. What began as the idea of producing a runway show quickly evolved into a mission to give back and create real impact within the community.Through leadership, creativity, and heart, she continues to build an experience that not only showcases talent, but also uplifts children and families in a lasting way.

Nani Scanlan
Deputy Executive Director & Vice President
After attending a Walking for Gold runway show, Nani was immediately drawn to the mission and the impact it creates. What began as support quickly grew into a true partnership as she joined alongside the founder to help build and expand the organization.As Deputy Executive Director and Vice President, Nani plays a vital role in bringing each event to life, supporting operations and ensuring every detail reflects the heart behind Walking for Gold.

Wendy Lewis
Director of Operations
Wendy was first drawn to Walking for Gold through her passion for modeling, but what kept her was the opportunity to be part of something greater. She believes there is a deeply human element to charity - one that makes every effort personal and meaningful.As Director of Operations, Wendy leads the coordination and execution behind the scenes, ensuring every detail - from planning to show day, runs seamlessly while support the mission at the heart of the organization.

Direct of Finance
Noe joined Walking for Gold after being invited to volunteer for the 2024 show. Witnessing firsthand how the organization brings people together for a meaningful cause left a lasting impression and inspired her to continue being part of the mission.A Director of Finance, Noel supports the organization’s financial structure and sustainability, ensuring that every contribution is managed with purpose and care. She is proud to be a part of an effort that uplifts children and families while creating lasting impact.

Carli Coombs
Director of Marketing
Carli - also known as Bama or Goose to those closest to her, has been part of Samantha’s journey for many years, witnessing firsthand the vision and heart behind Walking for Gold.
With a background in photography, videography, marketing, and fundraising. she leads the organization’s visual storytelling and brand presence. As Director of Marketing, Carli plays a key role in sharing the mission in a way that connects with the community and brings the impact of each event to life.

Jacelyn Lukenbill
Board Member & Creative Mentor
Jacelyn Lukenbill is a Salt Lake City based clothing designer, esthetician, and mother whose work is rooted in creativity, culture, and purpose. She studied Fashion Design at SLCC where she began developing her foundation in design and garment construction.
As a board member and creative mentor, Jacelyn works closely with young designers, helping guide their ideas from concept to runway while supporting the creative direction of Walking for Gold.

Executive Assistant
Shayla serves as Executive Assistant for Walking for Gold, supporting the organization’s leadership and day-to-day operations. She is passionate about the mission and inspired by the impact created through creativity, innovation, and community.
Her commitment to giving back began at a young age, and she continues to stay involved in causes that make a difference. Shayla bring organization, reliability, and dedication to her role and is proud to be part of an organization that uplifts children and families.

Designer Coordinator
Chandler joined Walking for Gold with the vision of helping create a night centered entirely around children battling cancer - giving them the opportunity to feel like the stars they truly are.
As Designer Coordinator, he works closely with local fashion designers and businesses to bring together a collective of talent that makes each runway show both impactful and unforgettable. His work helps shape an experience that honors the strength of the children and families at the heart of the mission.

Model Coordinator
Lucy is a Utah native with a passion for uplifting others and recognizing the beauty in every individual. After being crowned Teen Utah Petite in 2024, she discovered a love for connecting with new people and creating a meaningful experiences.
As Model Coordinator, Lucy works closely with models throughout the preparation process, providing guidance and support to ensure each participant feels confident and ready for the runway. She is grateful to be part of Walking for Gold and contribute to something that makes a lasting impact.

Model Coordinator
Tierney Mcknight is a Salt Lake City based creative with a strong passion for helping models feel confident, prepared, and empowered. She is dedicated to creating an environment where individuals can thrive and fully express themselves.
As part of the model coordination team, Tierney supports models throughout the preparation process, helping ensure they feel ready and confident for the runway. She is excited to be part of Walking for Gold and contribute to an experience that is supportive, expressive, and rooted in purpose.

A true part of the Walking for Gold family, she has grown up alongside the organization, bringing light, energy, and heart to every show. As a dancer and model, she takes the runway with confidence and joy, representing the spirit of what Walking for Gold is all about.
As a Rising Star, she reminds us that the smallest voices can make the biggest impact.

Brittni Romero
Honorary Board Member
Member of Walking for Gold, dedicating her time, heart, and energy to the mission even while courageously battling triple negative breast cancer.
Throughout her journey, Brittni remained deeply committed to supporting children and families, using her voice to raise awareness and funds for childhood cancer. Her strength, selflessness, and unwavering compassion left a lasting impact on the organization and everyone who the privilege of working alongside her.
Brittni’s legacy continues to live on through Walking for Gold, serving as a constant reminder of resilience, purpose, and the power of showing up for others - even in the midst of your own fight.
